Badminton House, la Meravigliosa Casa della Duchessa Georgia Beaufort nello Gloucestershire.


THE DUCHESS OF BEAUFORT per anni è stata insegnante e giornalista. Il tipo di donna che gestisce i momenti stressanti dicendo a suo marito Harry, il dodicesimo duca: "Ho bisogno di fare una traduzione latina." ... "È una metafora per dire di fare qualcosa che può controllare" 

Badminton House è una grande casa di campagna inglese sita nel Gloucestershire in Inghilterra, ed è stata la residenza principale del Duca di Beaufort sin dal tardo XVII secolo. “Dall'esterno, Badminton House sembra sontuosa, con le sue facciate in stile palladiano, ma l'interno è informale. Quando i genitori di Harry lo restaurarono negli anni '80, non hanno avuto paura di renderlo accogliente, in quanto avevano anche il gusto di conservare l'eleganza. Quindi ci sono grandi cose e cose comode.“ dice la duchessa.

La dimora si è inoltre prestata quale location per le scene di alcuni celebri film: Quel che resta del giorno (1993), Pearl Harbor (2001) e 28 giorni dopo (2002).

Georgia Beaufort nella sua leggendaria tenuta inglese Badminton House nel Gloucestershire, una tenuta con radici profonde in un passato arcadico.

The Duchess of Beaufort and Matt Ramsden, Master of the Duke of Beaufort’s Hunt, tend to the hounds in the North Hall, which was rebuilt in 1740 by James Gibb.
